Good Afternoon Indigo,
After reading your e-mail, relating to the return (via lawsuits) of
national patrimony, I am reminded of U.S. Senator (CA) S. I. Hayakawa's
remark during the 1977 debate over the Panama Canal,....."We stole it
fair and square."
It is a sure bet that the only winners on these issues will be the
attorneys.

Subject: This could get very interesting

First it was Italy demanding things of the Getty and
other museums.  Then it was Greece making the same
demand.  Recently, Peru is threatening to sue for
artifacts taken from Machu Pichu.

article that reports Egypt may go after Italy for an
obelisk that was plundered.
