I think about bugs and the time and money it will take to monitor and possibly eradicate them. Then there is the potential damage itself. And the bad precedent.

This may be the start of a new thread, but I was interested in your comment
about outsiders bringing plants and flowers into a museum.  What do you (and
others) think of the practice of staff designers introducing plants into
exhibition spaces as decor?
