1. In my response to John regarding tools, I used the
wrong word. Spelled correctly, so that it wouldn't be
picked up by a spell checker, but the wrong word
nonetheless. In the sentence below, the word should
have been punctuation instead of publication.

One of my dilemmas lately is placing publication after
a web link (see above).

2. I took your remarks and broadened them
intentionally to include your resume (not specifically
yours, but any resume). If you'll notice, I also cc'd
the Musejobs list and used it as an additional tool in
our continuing quest to best position oneself in the
hiring process.

Your cover letter is your physical entrance into the
facility. If it looks poorly, it may be like showing
up at a nice restaurant with no tie and jacket. You
just simply will not be allowed in. A sloppy resume
may be like interviewing with spinach in your teeth
and garlic on your breath.

2. Wanting to further improve America is an admirable
desire. Your approach was not conducive to that goal.
There was nothing in your note whatsoever that would
engender positive change.

3. I make no more assumptions about you than you
presented in your communication. It is this same
ability to draw assumptions about you from what you
write that may preclude you from being the selected
candidate.

Referring to the joke I made mention of earlier, I
believe the appropriate quote would be:

"Bang!"
