Question RE Collecitons Management Software:
A small museum wants to take a look at their technology needs and establish
a five-year plan for meeting them. An essential ingredient in this is their
collections management software.
At present, they are using dBase V, which works fine (according to the
registrar, who is the one person who undertsand it) in DOS, but is a bear in
Windows.
I am leaning towards suggesting Microsoft Access (they have PCs and will
only have PCs in the future). I have heard good things about Access. And, I
have a person who can custom develop a package of data programs for them for
a moderate price, moderate compared to Multimimsy and EmBark.
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on Access and any other programs.

Many thanks.
