I am compiling a list of computer software exhibits,
places where visitors can sit down at a computer,
(whether for a few seconds or a few hours)
to try commercially available software.

I am interested in facilities that are open to the general visitor,
rather than classrooms or labs that are only available
for rental, school programs, or other fee programs.

Here is the list I have compiled so far:

- DOW computer lab at the Odyssium (Edmonton, AB)

- Community Technology Studio/Parent-Teacher Resource Center at the
Science Museum of Virginia (Richmond, VA)

- Vernier Technology Lab at OMSI (Portland, OR)

- Cahners ComputerPlace at the Museum of Science (Boston, MA)

If you know of any other museums or science centers with software
exhibits, or
exhibits that incorporate commercially available software (as opposed to
computer interactives developed specifically for that exhibit), please
email me off-list. I will compile the responses and post to the list in
case others are interested in this information.

Thanks,
Susan
