Are any of you aware of museums where the Chief Executive Officer
(Executive Director) serves simultaneously as Chairman of the Board?  I
have read recently (and often thought) that this arrangement can be
effective for certain sized organizations, given that the Executive
Director is the principal source of board leadership.

I would like to know of any of which you might be aware so that I can
contact them for information on how well the arrangement works for them.
