On June 1, 1996, the Smithsonian Institution Libraries
published an Electronic Edition of John C. Ewers "Hair
Pipes in Plains Indian Adornment." Available at
http://www.sil.si.edu/elecedns.htm, this is the first of the
Smithsonian Institution Libraries' electronic editions. The
Ewers's piece was originally published as Anthropological
Papers, No. 50 (1957) Bureau of American Ethnology,
Bulletin 164.
