ScienceMakers, a three year NSF- funded project, will collect oral 
history interviews of 180 major African American scientists in the 
science/technology/engineering/mathematics (STEM) professions. The 
content of the interviews will be used to increase awareness and 
knowledge of STEM professions and African American contributions to 
science while also encouraging youth to pursue science-related 
careers.
