     "...seems we can't educate anymore unless we throw in a
     large dose of "fun" to make it all go down a little
     easier."

     I thought Heleanor made a good point that poeople had
     been using "entertainment" techniques to enhance
     education for centuries.  Perhaps it is a matter having
     lost THAT ability recently, rather than the ability to
     educate without entertainment?  Is there something
     wrong with making education entertaining?  Loosen up a
     bit, and lose those puritan values  :)
