The Milwaukee Public Museum has used sugar for many years in its Artic
exhibits. We haven't had a problem with infestation; for some reason the
majority of insects don't have a sweet tooth.

What have others used to simulate snow on the ground in exhibits? The
exhibit I am currently working on is supposed to have a snowmobile
pulling a toboggan parked on the snow. I don't want to run foul of the
fire marshall.
