Can you tell us, please, what is the fabric content of the dust covers? Must you use detergent, would a clear water wash be sufficient in freshening the covers? Or, a soap product like Dreft, if rinsed multiple times?

However, since the dust covers come into direct contact with the artifacts, we hesitate to use the high efficiency detergents that are recommended for the machine. On the other hand, we don’t want to compromise the efficiency of the washer by using regular detergents or Orvus.
