I think the rules for Canada are a little different though. For
Federal government positions, you have to be a US citizen to work. I'm
not sure about state and local governments but I'm sure there are
residency/citizenship restrictions. But for private organizations, I
think Canadians can work in the US with relatively little paperwork.
