The Art Institute of Chicago is now accepting applications for the position
of DOCENT COORDINATOR.

Supervises: 130+ volunteer docents and school group greeters

Reports to: Assistant Director of Museum Education, Student Programs

Responsibilities:
*Supervise and provide daily leadership and management for volunteer
docents and greeters.
*With the Assistant Director, develop and implement short- and long-term
strategic plans for the docent program, including: training; evaluation;
recruitment; and programming.

Qualifications:
*MA in art history, education or comparable experience, gallery teaching
experience, and previous docent/volunteer management required.
*Experience with students, teachers or schools preferred.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks, solve problems, resolve conflicts, set
priorities, and meet deadlines while demonstrating tact and good judgement
essential.
