I've started using a product called Remo 2 - a double sided removable tape.  I love it.  I'd done a 3M tape with blue painters tape, but this is much better.  We did have some trouble with panels jumping off the walls this summer, but for 3 months this spring there were no problems.  It releases easily from the wall and the foamcore.  I can't recommend it highly enough.
