Our institution is considering have an antiques show/appraisal fair. If we
do the event, it will not be held at our institution and no one on our staff
will be appraising or handling objects. We would merely work with local
appraisers to co-ordinate the event at an off-site location, and, in fact,
our only real involvement would be to have our name on signage and ads
reading something like "proceeds benefit the Dallas Historical Society." We
haven't decided yet whether we will go through with having an
appraisal/antiques event, but we are definitely considering it.
