Opening for Financial Administrator Position


The National Museum of African Art (NMAfA), Smithsonian Institution, is seeking applications for a Financial Administrator to manage the museum's fiscal operations.
Working closely with the museum's senior managers the incumbent will participate fully in the formulation and presentation phases of the annual budget cycle and a five-year forecast, developing estimates, furnishing prior-year data, projected cost increases and spending trends.  The incumbent will develop and prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports for the museum's Director and senior staff reflecting the current status of NMAfA's federal and trust budgets for the museum and for divisions/departments within NMAfA .   The incumbent will develop financial tracking/reporting mechanisms for the Director and NMAfA's Advisory Board providing a clear and accurate picture of the museum's financial health and stability on a regular basis.  This position will oversee all of the museum's financial transactions and recordkeeping and will provide administrative and technical supervision to two full-time employees. 
 
Compensation:  This is a Federal Civil Service position GS-12/13. Salary range $60,638-$72,108
