Roger, I have worked with Edith Mayo at the Smithsonian for 4 years. Her
exhibit on women's political activism has generated a number of public
programs. The best ones were "living history" performances in the
exhibit space. Actresses portrayed women like Alice Paul, Margaret
Sanger and others. Their scripts were wonderful and creative
interpretations of historical documents -- speeches, letters, diaries,
etc. Contact Shirley Cherkasky at SI, NMAH, Public Programs, Washington,
DC USA 20560 if you want to know more.
