The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a
Registration Assistant.  This position is responsible for assisting the
Registration Department staff with various tasks including entering data in
the ARGUS collections management database, documenting collections in a
variety of hard-copy formats, inventorying collections, administering
long-term loans, preparing incoming and outgoing receipts and exhibition
condition report notebooks, answering collections-related inquiries,
assisting visitors in viewing collections in storage, and photocopying,
filing and sending faxes.  Prepares and distributes minutes of weekly
Collections Management meeting.

Bachelors degree in art history, fine arts or related field required.  Work
experience (paid or volunteer) in a museum registration department
preferred.  Must have ability to interpret art historical information; be
detail-oriented; and have good time management, organizational, and written
and oral communication skills.  Experience with word and data processing
and office procedures essential.
