I am currently working with a small museum on the outskirts of a major
centre. I was looking forward to the responses to the question regarding
museum identity as we too are struggling to figure out "who" we are.
Instead, after one or two responses that tied directly to the question, I
found a lot of people were having fun trying to "outsmart" each other about
how to define museum and centre. What can I say?. What's the use of using
this list as a forum for discussion if people don't actually bother to
"listen" to what each other are saying. If anyone is still interested in
sharing their views about how to deal with a small museums identity crisis,
please respond to me through this address. - Lori.
