DATE: April 2000

TITLE: Project Analyst - Temporary Contract Position (may become permanent
position)

DEPARTMENT: International Projects, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York

REPORTS TO: Director of International Planning and Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as primary liaison to international partners with respect to
operational and administrative issues.
Assists in the development of strategies to improve operations and
communications with international partners.
Assists the Director of International Planning and Operations to oversee the
fulfillment of all contractual obligations for international projects.
Assists the Deputy Director for Program Administration and Director of
International Planning and Operations in the preparation of business plans,
strategic planning models, staffing models, feasibility studies, and budget
forecast analyses.
Develops and maintains senior management reporting on all international
projects.
Assists in special research for development, public affairs, tourism
statistics, education and sponsorship when necessary.
Coordinates retreats, travel and meeting exchanges among colleagues at the
different Guggenheim locations.
Oversees communications and response to all Guggenheim partners regarding
information requests and assistance.

REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Business and/or Arts Administration or Finance.
Previous experience working in non-profit Arts Administration. Prior museum
experience or internship highly desirable. International experience a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as financial analyses
and budgeting skills.
Fluency in other languages, a plus but not necessary.
Strong computer skills required.
Superior organizational skills. Ability to handle a variety of tasks
concurrently and meet frequent deadlines. Ability to initiate advance
planning and prioritize tasks.
