POSITION: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

The Lincoln Museum, a history museum dedicated to the preservation and
interpretation of the history and legacy of Abraham Lincoln, seeks a
Director of Marketing to develop, coordinate and implement strategies to
market The Lincoln Museum locally, regionally and nationally with the
objectives of maximizing the number of visitors and increasing membership.
Position is available January 1st, funding pending.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop overall marketing plan
Develop marketing department budget
Supervise Special Events Manager
Place advertising
Oversee management of internet site
Oversee production of museum collateral
Generate attendance
Generate membership
Manage media contacts

QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in Communications or related area
4 years experience in the Communications field
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with the media
Excellent interpersonal skills
Museum experience preferred
