Here at the Institutional Studies Office at the Smithsonian Institution,
we routinely use SAS, SPSS and SYSTAT for quantitative analysis tools.

We are currently searching for a SIMPLE software program that 1) allows
for direct data entry (or importing from a simple spreadsheet such as
EXCEL), 2) calculates simple statistics (e.g. mean, standard deviation),
3) can create 2-way cross tabs.

Does anyone have a software package they can recommend? Can anyone
relate experiences they have had with such software?

Thanks!
