We received what I believe to be a Marklin tin toy clockwork limousine as a
donation. I'd like to identify it as it looks like a pretty substantial
toy. It is dark blue with light blue pinstriping, a chauffeur in the front,
two passenger doors that open, and a mark on the clockwork, "D.R.G.M." In my
warped brain I believe this stands for "Deutches Republik Gebruder Marklin"
but this is a wild guess! I believe it dates to the 20s or before. I know
very little about toys OR automobiles so this is a tough one. Anyone have
any ideas? Another fine example of what history museum curators need to
know...
