Full-time Position - Excellent Benefits Package


Administer overall operation of the Headquarters office; carry out the
programs and policies of the AGO as set by the National Council; protect
the financial interests of the organization; develop and monitor the
annual budget; represent the organization and communicate AGO positions
and policies to internal and external audiences; develop and maintain
relationships with other arts organizations; maintain the publications
program, the organization's monthly magazine, "The American Organist," as
well as other print and audiovisual educational resources; maintain
membership services, including recruitment and renewal, insurance
programs, and professional and educational services.


Demonstrated knowledge of planning, organizing, directing, budgeting, and
controlling activities in a service organization through other people;
knowledge of computer technologies; understanding of personnel
administration; ability to motivate and supervise staff; good
communications and public relations skills; working knowledge of finance
and business law and practices, with special attention to not-for-profit
technicalities; demonstrated ability in fund-raising and writing grant
applications; experience in coordinating convention activities.


Master's degree is Business or Arts Administration preferred. Minimum 3-5
years experience as chief staff officer or equivalent responsibility.
Experience in arts/music administration desirable.
