Museum Studies at University College London jointly with the Theatre Museum
the Victoria & Albert Museum

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded one of the new
Collaborative Doctorate studentships from the Arts & Humanities Research
Council. The research topic is: Intangible heritage: the case of theatrical
performances.

As you know, intangible heritage (dance, music, even cooking) is attracting
a lot of attention now, but what exactly does it mean for museums deciding
to collect intangible heritage materials? The Theatre Museum films selected
theatrical performances, so this is an example that can be investigated.

You can find the advertisement and further information on the UCL Museum
Studies website: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/museumstudies

or on http://www.jobs.ac.uk/jobfiles/EI097.html.

If you know anyone else who might be interested please let them know.
