As a reminder, the events database at http://www.museumstuff.com/events
remains open for "legitimate" museum events postings .. and yes, it
continues to be a free service.

I wish to encourage your events listings, in particular, events and
exhibits that your museum may feel would be of particular relevance and
assistance to the public at this time.

Also, last night I created a seperate posting service that will allow more
dynamic news and commentary from the museum community, as a complimentary
resource for the media, as well as the public. If I find that this
particular service is popular, then I may expand on it, however, for now it
is in a testing phase. I encourage your use and feedback concerning it.
This can be found at http://www.museumstuff.com/events/status .. and is
meant to serve a duel role of allowing up to the minute announcements, as
well as a public forum. It's an experiment.

Finally, as a matter of interest, while my site's stats of the past few
days reveal a drop in visitations, it is not as striking as I thought it
might be. Indeed, the public, either despite the crisis, or as a result of
it, continue to seek out museum resources. My hope is that this will be
some encouragement for all in our day to day museum-related tasks.
