Search for formative and retrospective/summative evaluation of art works
displayed in non-arts venues

Has your institution embarked on a public art programme or a one-off art
commission? If so, did you evaluate the process? How did your visitors
(especially children) react to the art?

I am interested in finding out about public reaction to art works that are
displayed in non-arts venues such as science museums, heritage centres and
other visitor attractions. Although retrospective or summative evaluation
is of interest, I am particularly interested in formative evaluation and
how it has shaped the commissioning/contracting process. If you know of
such evaluation, please let me know by Friday 3 July:
