I'm sorry to say that I don't have phone numbers of booking services
with me but you might want to try a homestay with companies like Urban
Ventures.  For about $18-$40 a person per night you stay in someone's house or
apartment, get bed and breakfast, and a great cultural experience! Many
of the services are listed in the London Times or TimeOut magazine, both
of which are now on-line.  Urban Ventures is based in New York, you can
find their number by calling the New York directory service. Another good
source of information is Cheap Sleeps London, a guide you can pick up in
most bookstores.
