Museum Director - Search Re-Opened
Wistariahurst Museum, a municipally-owned and operated
Victorian historic house museum in Holyoke, Massachusetts,
seeks an innovative, enthusiastic individual to direct daily
operations. The director will work under the authority of the
Holyoke Historical Commission and will work closely with a
full-time program supervisor, a non-profit membership
organization, and an active team of volunteers, including docents.
Responsibilities include the implementation of the strategic plan;
financial management and fundraising, including grant writing;
exhibition planning; collections management and care;
marketing and publicity; supervision of restoration projects;
and overseeing programming. Goals include broadening the
impact of the institution in the community, diversifying the
constituent base, and increasing volunteer support. Must have
demonstrated leadership qualities, as well as excellent
organizational, entrepreneurial, communication, and
community-building skills. Master's degree or a minimum
of five years related experience required. Full time municipal
employee; excellent benefits; salary: $30,299 to $42,020
depending upon qualifications. Send cover letter, resume,
