Your state or local tourism board might be interested in funding this for
you: otherwise it is a strictly self-funded project. I know ours was.

Subject: Small publication grants?

Dear List,

My colleague and I work at a rather small but very popular museum, and are
thinking of putting together a publication about the Center that exceeds the
level of "brochure" but doesn't quite rate as a "book." We're hoping for a
32-
page glossy saddle-stitched item, full of colorful photos and useful
information to be sold in our own gift shop for a profit.

We are now looking for funding, and would like to throw this question out to
you: are there grants out there available for endeavors such as this? We are
planning to have our volunteers do the majority of the photography,
research,
and writing for the pub, so mostly we're looking to cover printing costs
with
grant monies.

We would greatly appreciate any leads that you may know of, and would be
happy
to receive your comments at either my personal email address,

Thank you very much in advance!
