I agree with Kristy that this debate has gotten far out of hand.  There is
nothing wrong with a collection of resumes for potential employers to look
through.  I wonder at Mr. Ciotola's comment that one must "take volunteer
positions as a pre-requisite to finding full time employment".  How exactly
does one support themselves while working as a volunteer?  Most of the people
I know (myself included) do not have the luxury of working for no pay.
Should we not have the help of a resume database to potentially aid employers
in finding us while we are working full time, finishing up a graduate degree
part time, and actively searching for a museum position during limited lunch
hours and weekends?
