I also completed an MA in Museum Studies and recommend anyone considering
the course doing a great deal of thinking and investigating the programs.
I chose one which was more of a generalized approach where I could taste
all aspects of museum work. The theory and practice was well utilized
with practical museum visits and work experience. But I recommend
choosing a program that suits your interests ie subject based or more
museum studies focused. I f you are willing to take a leap and study
abroad it was a great experience, although the local connections were not
established. I am now searching for US experience. Although, I have
received contract work pretty quickly. Best of luck. Museum Studies is a
growing and exciting field.
