Katie,
I would recommend that you gather two or three catalogs from the firms
that sell archival supplies. Most have at least some discussion of the
principles involved in archival storage, and while they are trying to
sell stuff do give you some basis for judging various options. In
addition, unlike books on the subject, they are free. The standard guys
are Hollinger and University Products, but Light Impressions is somewhat
more photo oriented. I don't have a number or URL for the former two at
hand, by Light Impressions is at 800/828-6216. Call them and ask for
a catalog.
Disclaimer: I have no connection with any of these firms but have used
materials from all of them.
