The National Association for Interpretation (NAI) has just formed
a new special interest section, the Cultural Interpretation and Living
History Section. It is FAR broader than military re-enactments or
even non-military living history, though those forms of interpretation
are included. For more information, and a link to many organizations
and people doing what you're asking about, contact the interim section
