The Denver Museum of Natural History is a great museum. Currently
exhibing "Imperial Tombs of China" during the US National Tour. Has Imax
theater,
currently showing "The First Emperor of China" and "Destiny in Space".
Has new permanent exhibit called "Prehistoric Journey". Basically it is a
fossilized record in a very clear format of Earth's history from the Big
Bang to Lucy and other hominoids. Health is promoted in the "Hall of
Life". Has Gates Planetarium currently showing "Hubble Gallery: Portraits
of the Universe". Reservations are required (actually depending on day
and time of visit, but I would no matter) for "China".

Inforamtion number: 303.370.6300. Reservations for "Tombs of China":
303.322.4462 or 800.925.2250. General reservations (including Imax):
303.322.9007. Hearing impaired TDD: 303.370.8257.

Current admission prices:
                Imax Imax&Museum Imax&China China
Adults $5 $8.25 $13.25 $9.50
Children &
Seniors $4 $5.75 $10.75 $7.50

One could easily spend a whole day here in DMNH. Watch the Chinese Imax
film, the museum and "Imperial Tombs of China" would take a good full day.
Depending on interest, these times are a good general indication. For
Imax, 1 hour each show. For Prehistoric Journey, between 45 minutes and 3
hours. For Imperial Tombs of China, between 60 minutes and 2.5 hours.
Other parts of the museum, 2+ hours. There is plenty to see and do, and a
restaurant is on location.

Little secret:
In the background paintings in several dioramas is leprechans. There are
five painted in the background, and one that is a little figurine. 3
painted leprechans and one figurine are found on the second floor. One
can be found on the third floor (and on the floor of a diorama) in
"Explore Colorado", and one found inside "Prehistoric Journey". In
addition, two "live" butterflies are somewhere in the dioramas on the
second floor.

Hope this helps.
