Richard Candee, Professor of American and New England Studies at Boston
University, has done a great deal of research on the knitted stocking
industry in 19th-century New England. I would think that the process would
be similar to knitted underwear, and I am sure that he could be helpful.

Subject: seeking manufacturing info

> Hello--
>
> For an industrial history exhibition in Amsterdam, NY, we're seeking

> primarily on workers, we're including a section on the processes
