Stephanie,

I use Rockwell Kent's "First Snow, Greenland" (1931) in my Art 101
course to teach about color.  It's a beautiful scene with small
man-made huts in the foreground, and a bay with ice floating in it
behind. There are looming snow-covered mountains/icebergs in the background.
