Use the Art and Architecture Thesarus (AAT)--it is available on the web from
the Getty.  It is fast becoming the stardard in the field for terms, and you
can use it for classification too, if you wish.

The web version is dynamic, so I would bookmark it or bring it onto your
desktop as a quick reference.
