In an effort to inject some end-of-work-week levity (and at the definite
risk of furthering stereotypes of the Deep South), I'll mention something
which is not exactly a museum -- the Coon Dog Cemetery (of necessity, an
outdoor attraction).

A couple of links:

Colbert County (Alabama) Tourism & Convention Bureau listing -- Simply
mentions it among local attractions. "Coon Dog Cemetery - The final resting
place for nearly four dozens of man's best friend - the coon dog. Unique
headstones and canine dedications accent this secluded site."
        http://www.shoals-tourism.org/Pages/attr.html

Personal page -- Visitor to the cemetery has several photos from the
cemetery. (NOTE: images take a while to load.)

It must be hallowed ground to coon dog lovers.

Regards,
Keith Britnell
