How about a new decades topic. One that is really more relevant to your
Museum. Have you been using the dating system that is rife in the U.S. of
dating items in the format 10-24-95? What do you do at the turn of the
century when you will have conflicts such as : is this date 1895,1995, or
2095? Using a military dating system will solve your problems. Dating the
above 24 Oct 1995 eliminates any problems. All days take 2 spaces, all months
can be shortened to 3 spaces, and all years take 4 spaces. If you just leave
all the bogus dates you used during the Twentieth Century as they are, and
start the new century with an accurate dating system, you can save yourself
much work. Or if you have the manpower, you can change all your dates and do
the job right. Comments?
