Just to add fuel to the fire:

You can't just buy a CD and play it in the gallery.

Remember that musical performances are subject to both copyright and royalty
restrictions. If you play commercially available performances you need to sign
up with a service that will forward royalty payments to the artist.  One avenue
is to register with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers
(ASCAP) prior to public use of recordings. Sorry, I don't appear to have a
