Washington, DC - "Spanish Inspirations: Photographic Impressions," a
photography exhibition by Cheryl Maeder was first shown at the Embassy of
Spain in Washington, DC, March 2000. Ms. Maeder is an established
photographer working in San Francisco and has major corporations as her
clients.

This exhibition features recent photographs taken by the artist in Spain and
subsequent impressions in the United States. She uses the same style called
"photo impressions" developed while she was in Spain in both countries. The
exhibition consists of 22 photographs taken in Spain; Harlem, NY; and South
Beach, Florida; and Mill Valley, California. By using this technique, shapes
and colors "create an impression and keep the mystery."

This exhibition is organized by International Arts Management Consulting and
sponsored, in part, by First Union Bank in Washington, DC. For further
information on the exhibit, please contact Mona Khademi, Director of
International Arts Management.
