Registrar. The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is seeking an experienced Registrar to manage all functions of the Registration department, including records management, as well as art storage, movement and installation. Also oversees fine arts insurance and loan administration. Requirements include 5 years registrarial experience in an art museum with supervisory responsibility, budget management and experience with computerized collections management systems; minimum of a BA in art history or related field, MA in art history or museum studies preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational and management skills required. Must have thorough knowledge of works of art, accepted museum registration methods, legal matters related to museum collections, fine arts insurance, conservation and storage practices, packing and transportation methods.
