MUSEUM CURATOR.  Morton Grove and Buffalo Grove, Illinois,  Park
Districts. Qualifications: A bachelors or masters degree in museum
studies, museum administration, or the equivalent is required with a
minimum of one to two years experience preferred but not required. The
candidate must be able to work well with people, especially with
volunteers; work independently with initiative; schedule and manage
time effectively; manage multiple projects; and meet deadlines. The
curator will work with and report to museum boards, historical society
members, as well as immediate supervisors.

Responsibilities: The curator is responsible for the management and
care of the collections at both museums. The qualified candidate will
also be responsible for collection research, exhibit planning and
development, and the implementation of educational programs. This
position is a full-time position shared by the Morton Grove and
Buffalo Grove Park Districts. The museum curator will normally work a
40-hour week, splitting that time evenly per month at both districts;
however, hours worked can be flexible depending on work load.

Salary range: $24,000 to $27,000 with benefits.
