Could someone please tell me what the main source of professional
development funds for individual museum/cultural workers is in the US? Is
there a body like the Canadian Museums Association that assists with travel
costs, research costs, short term study costs? Or is it only available
through state organizations? I gather AAM doesn't give grants. Does the NEA
or the NEH give grants or scholarships to cultural professionals as well as
to organizations? How can I find out more?  Thank you in advance for your
