The George Washington University Dimock Gallery is a small educational
gallery which contributes to the cultural life of the University
and the Washington, D.C. community. The Gallery also cares for
The George Washington University Permanent Collection (some 3000
objects).

We are currently planning the move into a new facility which will have an
Active Storage/Study Storage space where we plan to store part of the
Permanent Collection (works on paper and perhaps a few small paintings).
Researches, scholars, and the general public will have access to this area
(interested individuals will have to make arrangements with the Gallery's
staff before the visit).

I would be grateful for any information on museums or galleries that have
an Active Storage area (set-up, security, structure, furniture and devices
used, etc).

Thank you very much for your help.
