Assistant or Associate Curator
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts

The MIA seeks an Assistant or Associate Curator for its Decorative Arts, Sculpture & Architecture department.  Responsibilities include interpreting the collection through exhibitions, lectures and publications, generating labels/support materials, conducting research, and fostering good relationships with the public.  Requirements include:  MA in Art History or related field, Ph.D. desirable; previous employment in a collection-based decorative arts, sculpture or architecture department; significant experience in exhibitions and publications; demonstrated ability to work independently and complete complex projects; excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.  We seek a generalist comfortable working with European and American decorative arts and/or architecture from 17th century to present day.
