Several years ago I did an exhibit on the history of aviation in New Mexico.
We found the local airline offices extremely helpful in acquiring loans of
seats and other components in exchange for sponsorship credit. Unless you
are thinking of a "permanent exhibit" concept, I'd suggest trying for loans.
The bloody things are outrageously expensive since every screw in them has
to meet FAA specifications (i.e. $600 toilet seats!).
