Description of Work

MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER DESIGNS, EDITS, & DIRECTS MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS FOR
THE MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INCLUDING TOUCHSCREEN COMPUTER INTERACTIVES, ED-
UCATIONAL VIDEO PROGRAMS, LASERDISC PROJECTS, & TWO-WAY VIDEOCONFEREN-
CING CLASSES. POSITION ALSO PROVIDES EXHIBITION TEAMS WITH FEASABILITY
ASSESSMENTS ON POTENTIAL MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS. MET ESC REQUIREMENTS AS
OF 12/10/03.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

APPLICANT SHOULD POSSESS STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF MULTIMEDIA
FORMATS & THEIR APPLICATIONS TO EDUCATION. MUST HAVE SKILLS TO OPERATE
MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT & VIDEO EDITING EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE.
SHOULD BE ABLE TO THINK CREATIVELY, ANALYZE PROJECT NEEDS & INSTITU-
TIONAL RESOURCES, & DESIGN VISUAL & AUDIO PRODUCTIONS. TRAINING AND
EXPERIENCES IN DIRECTING OR PRODUCING TELEVISION, RADIO, OR OTHER MEDIA
FORMATS RECOMMENDED.

Training and Experience Requirements

GRADUATION FROM A FOUR-YEAR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY PREFERABLY WITH A MAJOR
IN MUSEUM STUDIES, PUBLIC HISTORY, AMERICAN STUDIES OR OTHER
APPROPRIATE DISCIPLINE IN THE SPECIFIC CONTENT AREA OR FIELD OF
EXPERTISE;OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.
PREFER ADDITIONAL DIRECTLY RELATED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE AS
SPECIFIED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF WORK & KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
SECTIONS ABOVE. INTERVIEWING SUPERVISOR IS MARTHA TRACY.
