I am soliciting comments or experiences on the subject of striking museum
employees and professional obligations to collections.  A hypothetical
for-instance: what should a striking worker do if the museum collection was
faced with a disaster situation such as flooding, and the museum did not
have non-striking workers available or able to cope? What about objects on
loan if the museum closes its doors or does not have adequate professional
staff on hand to meet contract obligations? Anyone been through this before?
